Meet Mr. Williams
Mr. Eddie Williams graduated from Shelbyville, IL, and is excited to be coming back home to teach music. He completed his Bachelor's Degree at Eastern Illinois University in 2009 in Elementary Education with endorsements in Middle Level Education, Reading and Language Arts, Social Science, and Music. He then completed his Master in Educational Leadership in 2015. Mr. Williams remembers the many general music and choir experiences, he participated in throughout Shelbyville, and looks forward to sharing the the love of music with his students at Moulton, and Shelbyville High School. He also remembers participating in the SHS plays and musicals throughout his high school career. Mr. Williams began his teaching career in Mattoon in 2009, and then spent the past four years in education in Charleston School District. He spent several years throughout college, being a part of the plays and musicals at Stewardson-Strasburg High School. Mr. Williams is excited to return to Shelbyville teaching the 4th and 5th Grade General Music, Moulton Middle School 6-8 Choir, SHS Concert Choir, and SHS Jazz Choir. Mr. Williams will also be directing the Fall Play and the Spring Musical for the 2022-2023 school year. He enjoys going to different plays and musicals, at The Little Theatre on The Square, and the Fox Theatre in St. Louis. One of the most proudest moments for Mr. Williams was being a part of the Illinois Ambassadors of Music group after graduating from Shelbyville High School, and getting to spend approximately 2 1/2 weeks in Europe, touring and singing in seven different countries!
